The company behind Monster Trucks have announced a return to the UK after a five year absence. Monster Jam fans will be treated to a UK tour of 8 shows starting in September 2010.
With 8 shows in 3 cities confirmed, huge public demand for this event has meant that the tour will visit Manchester and Birmingham for the second time on the 18th September and the show makes a welcome return to Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium for the fourth time on the 9th October. Tickets are on sale now.
Whats on at the Monster Truck UK event
The organisers describe the event as “The high octane MONSTER JAM is a stunning family show consisting of the coolest monster trucks and freestyle Motocross with some of the world’s best drivers, sickest tricks and craziest stunts”
What is a Monster Truck
A monster truck is approximately 11 feet tall and 12 feet wide. They are unique custom-designed machines and weigh a minimum of 9,000 pounds. The tyres alone are 66-inches tall. Monster trucks are built for short, high-powered bursts of speed; these beasts generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and can hit 100 miles per hour. Monster trucks can jump a distance greater than 14 cars side by side and up to 25 feet in the air.
