Other vehicles consigned to the auction sale include: two Bentley Turbo R’s, a pretty Snowberry White Morris Minor Traveller, a 1928 Ford Model AA Tipper Lorry, a 1970 Morris Minor Van, a 1959 Austin A95 Westminster, and for those who like a challenge, a rare 1947 Morgan 4/4 Series 1 Drophead Coupe restoration project.  The Morgan comes with an interesting history and will require structural recommissioning; however, having recently passed its MOT test, the popular motor car is certainly an attainable enterprise.

Bus travellers from  Norwich  can catch the ‘Konnect Fastbus’ which runs from Thorpe Station or the First X1 from the Bus Station. Refreshments will be available at the school.

The Goodwood Aviation Show is being relocated within the Festival of Speed’s stunning Goodwood Parkland site for the very first time, rather than being based at the Goodwood Aerodrome, as in the previous two years.  This will make the Aviation Show fully accessible to each of the 180,000+ visitors that are forecast to attend this summer’s event.

With this new on-site location, plus the valued support of Garmin – the leading manufacture of GPS aviation products for avionics – the annual Goodwood Aviation Show is set to expand considerably, with some additional attractions planned for the first time this year, including a dedicated military and civilian careers area.

As in the past two years, the Goodwood Aviation Show will enable manufacturers and agents of fixed wing and rotary aircraft, as well as aviation service suppliers, to showcase their latest innovative aircraft designs and products to both a specialist aviation audience, plus an inquisitive and enthusiastic public.

With the assistance of Red Box – suppliers of aviation support equipment – to date over 20 exhibitors have confirmed their participation at the Aviation Show, already exceeding the total number of exhibitors at the 2011 event, with more still set to follow as Goodwood has increased the available exhibition space.  So far these include Pilatus, Honeywell, Nicholson McLaren, Transair, plus many others.  Further details of exhibitors at the 2012 Goodwood Aviation Show will be announced over the coming weeks and months.

Pleasure flights for the public visiting the Show will be available from the Goodwood Aerodrome during the event, located less than one mile from the Festival of Speed site.  Daily air displays are a highly popular Festival attraction – ranging from the Red Arrows to the UK public debut of the Air Bus in flight – and this year will be no exception, with interesting fly pasts currently in the planning stages, with news to follow shortly.

Since its introduction in 1993, the Festival of Speed has grown to become the world’s leading celebration of transportation for enthusiasts, with the prime focus being automotive, but other modes of transport also being celebrated, from pedal cycles, right through to high-speed boats and aircraft.

As well as Pylewell’s attractions, we have a full timetable of events planned for the weekend including our popular New Forest cruise on the Saturday, followed by evening entertainment in the marquee on the lawns of the house. Two bands are already booked, Jack Rabbit Slim and their own particular brand of Sleaze-a-billy, and the sophisticated-sounding Madison Heights Soul Experience. Danny Bedocs is bringing along the Milkcow Magazine Roadshow and spinning some vintage wax, plus other DJ’s and a Burlesque show will keep you up way past your bedtime! A fun fair and side shows for all the family will also feature all weekend.

On the Sunday we will be open to the public as usual, with our Show and Shine open to Hot Rods, Customs, Muscle cars as well as other LHD American Cars and Classics. Custom Bikes are also welcome, and we expect several clubs to stage their own Ride-In’s on the day to join in the fun. As well as the full compliment of trade stands, there will also be a swap meet as well, so bring along those unwanted parts, your junk is someone else’s treasure, so why not make a few quid to add to the beer kitty!

All in all, everything you’ve come to expect at a Wheelers show and more, with the added attraction of a fantastic new venue!

Described as the areas best caravan show it is held in Middleton Hall, The Centre, Milton Keynes. At the show there will be around forty caravans on display. See the latest touring caravans fitted with fixed beds, hot water, heaters, cookers, fridges and showers.

And for those who need to upgrade their caravan there should be plenty of accessories to buy.

Running on eight seperate days, Saturdays 3rd, 10th & 17th / Sundays 4th, 11th & 18th as well as Mon & Tues 19th & 20th of December.

One of the best features of the Santa Specials is after you have taken your booked seat on the train, Santa comes to visit you with individual presents suited to each age group. There are refreshments for both the kids and adults included in the price.

The return Steam Train ride takes approximately 40 minutes. The carriages are steam heated if the weather requires it!

Lincoln Autojumble is held several times a year at a former RAF airfield and the airfield hangers can be used for inside pitches.
Linclon Autojumble is located, near Caenby Corner at the junction of the A15 and A631 and only 10 miles from the M180. There is unlimited parking and the site has room for over 1500 pitches.

You might be lucky and find that classic car or classic car part you’ve been looking for. The Autojumble has a variety of car, car parts, motorcycles and tools for the enthusiast. There is no entry cost only a £2 charge for parking.

The inaugural Donington Historic Festival, in 2011 – a major landmark in the resurgence of this hugely-popular East Midlands circuit – was characterised by truly spectacular racing action featuring over 300 historic race cars and drivers from around the world. The addition of the karts, and around 200 kart drivers from the USA, Australia, New Zealand and all over Europe, to the Festival’s thrilling mix of sportscars, single-seaters, classic saloons and mighty Group C cars should ensure that the 2012 event raises the bar even higher.

Festival organiser, Duncan Wiltshire, said, “We are delighted that the British Historic Kart Club has selected the Donington Historic Festival as the stage for the inaugural Historic Kart World Championships. One of our key aims has always been that the Festival offers a wealth of racing excitement and entertainment for spectators, and the karts will really add to that, bringing former World and British Champions, and some very special machines.”

Tickets on sale in plenty of time for Christmas

Tickets for the 2012 Donington Historic Festival – which would make great Christmas gifts – go on sale on November 4^th. Advance ticket prices have been held at the family-friendly levels set in 2011, at £18 for an advance one-day ticket and £30 for an advance weekend ticket. On-the-gate prices will be £25 per day and £40 weekend. Children aged 16 and under are admitted for free. Small karts, big excitement

Among the stars already entered for this world-first is British Historic Kart Club Patron, the veteran racing driver Barrie ‘Whizzo’ Williams, who will race one of his father’s creations, a 1959 Fastakart/Villiers. Karting legends scheduled to appear include the 1967 World Karting Champion Edgardo Rossi (Switzerland) and 1978 World Champion Lake Speed (USA), plus former British champions Reg Gange Jnr, Bill Longden and Bob Phair.

There will also be a strong contingent of lady competitors, including the current European Champion, 100cc vintage, Tania le Couilliard, British Champion 250cc classic, Claire Atkinson and the Dutch racer Miranda van Middendorp.

Significant karts taking part include the 1959 Progress in which Graham Hill won the first-ever kart race held in the UK.  This will compete alongside the famous front-engined Del-kart/Suzuki that was part of the Donington Collection for thirty years; both karts racing for the first time in several decades. Ayrton Senna’s World Championship DAP kart – last raced in 1979 by the great man himself – will compete for Classic Class 1 honours, while former champion Peter Burgess will pilot the Martin Hines-built Burgess Special Zip/ Bultaco.

There will also be demonstration laps by some rare machines, including the very first kart ever made by Art Ingels and the Biagi 701/Bultaco, the creation of 1961 Scottish champion Paul Biagi.

‘Swamp Thing’, ‘Slingshot’ and ‘Grim Reaper’ are amongst the six giant Monster Trucks competing in racing action and spectacular freestyle within a purpose-built arena. These trucks can be seen destroying cars, caravans, a bus, and even a fire engine at this event, in order to crown the UK Champion.

Other attractions on the day include former World’s Strongest Man ‘Geoff Capes’ hosting a challenge to find the ‘UK Truck Pull Champion 2011’, sponsored by Phoenix Personnel Ltd, plus unbelievable freestyle motocross motorbike displays from UKFMX, Extreme American Wrestling and world record 300mph jet car ‘Fireforce’ in action.
